Help us secure the future of the event! For the past 25 years we have been able to create a great event and experience for people to enjoy, while raising funds for much needed causes such as the Heart & Stroke Foundation and other local charities such as KidSport Manitoba and we raise around $25,000 each year.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will no longer have access to free curling rocks after this year’s event. This puts us in a dire situation where we must raise just over $20,000 by the end of February! We are now asking any companies, groups, teams, individuals, event participants or otherwise to please support our endeavour in purchasing the rocks to secure our event for decades to come.
Specifically, we are asking for $250 and in return we will engrave one rock’s handle with personal names, team names, group names, company names, slogans, in memory of, or almost anything you would like engraved (within the parameters allowed on the handle: up to 3 lines of up to 12 characters each) and we will then use it at our event over the next 10 (or possibly more) years.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a legacy! You, along with up to 500 people (including media groups from around the province), will see your rock’s handle displayed in the ice for many years to come at the annual fundraiser event held every winter right here in Winnipeg on the Red River. We don’t ask this of anyone lightly, and rarely look to gain financial support for specific initiatives, but under these unique circunstances we ask that you seriously consider making a contribution to this cause.
